Greater Together

These employee-led communities are a cornerstone of #SignifyLife. Open to all, they provide an opportunity for those with common interests, cultures or backgrounds to connect with and learn from one another.

Early in my career I had to prove my competence as a lead investigator to clients who assumed my male colleagues were more experienced.
The composition of Signify’s Leadership Team sets a good tone. We have a diverse leadership team both in terms of gender and in terms of background and culture.

At Signify India the inclusion of people with disabilities is a key priority that reflects our commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
By integrating PwDs into our workforce, we are fostering an inclusive work environment and tapping into a pool of untapped talent that can bring fresh perspectives and ideas to our organization.

Within the DE&I Benelux team, we've been working on themes such as gender, culture, age, and introvert-extrovert personality types, ultimately bringing them to life. We mark special occasions and celebrate diversity like we did during Pride month and International Women's Day.

I was very lucky with my managers across Philips and Signify. They pushed me to do more and allowed me to learn from my mistakes, which is how I lead my team now as well.
Myself, I do not believe in creating well-rounded people. I believe in building well-rounded teams and this is only possible when you recognize and leverage unique talents, experiences and backgrounds of every single person. This is for me diversity and inclusion which we are driving in Signify.

I got involved in Connection Point Groups as I feel very passionately about driving inclusion at workplace and allowing opportunities to bringing our “whole” selves to work. I had previously been part of such groups in my previous jobs as well and have seen the value of these as they encourage a feeling of belonging. Also, being part of Connection Point groups provides a lot of avenues for networking with people and listening to diverse perspectives.

We have absolutely made a difference! Since its creation the PRIDE group has partnered with local non-profits supporting LGBTQ+ needs in our community, provided educational opportunities to employees on LGBTQ+ issues, created a safe space to process difficult situations, and had pronouns added to the official corporate signature guidelines.
